Can I make my own electrolyte drink mix at home with LMNT ratios?
In the many years we spent mixing electrolyte drinks at home before LMNT existed, we made many messes and had quite a few misses, but we also came up with several great recipes. If you prefer to source your own electrolytes instead of buying LMNT, jot this down and grab a kitchen scale:
- 2,500 mg sodium chloride (for 1,000 mg sodium)
- 385 mg potassium chloride (for 200 mg potassium)
- 390 mg magnesium malate OR 265 mg di-magnesium malate (for 60 mg magnesium)
These are the same science-backed electrolyte amounts and ratios in each grab-and-go stick pack of LMNT. It’s the equivalent of our simplest product: LMNT Raw Unflavored. You can use the electrolytes above as a base to create your own recipes (add your own flavor), or simply follow this guide to recreate 4 of our most popular flavors.

Where does LMNT ship?
We ship our drink mix to the US and Canada. LMNT Sparkling is only available in the contiguous US.
We are currently testing a few select distribution partners for LMNT Drink Mix in Australia and the United Kingdom. Please reach out to us at hello@drinklmnnt.com if you’d like to be put in contact with these distributors.
When can I expect to receive my LMNT order?
Typically, we fulfill LMNT orders within 1-2 business days. Standard domestic shipping is usually 3-5 business days unless otherwise indicated at checkout (typically extended during peak holiday seasons). Standard international shipping to Canada is usually 8-15 business days.
How can I edit my shipping address?
If you notice an error on your shipping address after your order has been placed, please contact us via chat (9am-9pm EST, Monday-Friday) or email us at hello@drinklmnnt.com with “Urgent – Address change” in the subject line. We will help you out. (No need to email multiple times–even if the order ships out to the original address used. We’ve got your back.)
How do I track my LMNT order?
You will automatically receive a tracking link by email when your order ships from our warehouse. Please note it can take 24-48 hours for the tracking number to update. It will be emailed to the email address you provided when making your order. If you cannot find any notification emails in your regular inbox, we recommend checking for an overzealous spam filter before reaching out to hello@drinklmnnt.com or contacting us via chat (9am-9pm EST, Monday-Friday).
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping in the US is included in the price of the product.
Standard shipping to Canada is free for orders over $100 USD. For orders under $100 USD, the shipping rate will vary depending on the destination and shipping speed selected. Duties and taxes will be calculated in your cart.
Express shipping is available for drink mix orders. It is not available for Sparkling-only or mixed orders.
